Hathor, Mistress of turquoise was an ancient Egyptain goddess of movement, music and emotion (as well as love & wine) All good things that make life worth living.
Hathor was represented by the colour turquoise and while these stones are not in fact made from turquoise I adore their Egyptian feel and shape.
The stones are large, chunky, slab cut chrysocolla in a very unusual pyramid shape and are so striking I didnt have to do much with them other than set them in silver and add a little sun disk to the handmade earring hooks.
They have a 2" drop and have a lot of movement, while being substantial, they are not too heavy, but they will be ideal for someone who loves a more statement style of earring.
