My Aurora earrings have 2 stunning pink Aurora opals that seem to glimmer and shimmer with the colours of the Aurora Borealis. They show different bands of colour depending on the angle you look at them from.
I have created a contemporary sterling silver mount that echoes the unusual shape of the stones and added deep purple amethysts to finish.
They have handmade sterling silver hooks and have a lot of movement to them. They have around a 1.5” drop including the hooks.
I will say, that if you wear these opals in direct sunlight they will change from a shimmering pink to an absolute RIOT of rainbow colours, so prepare to be admired!
The final picture shows the opals under full natural sunlight.
(Aurora opal is man made, but just look at those colours! The amethysts are natural mined stones.)
